LITTLE FALLS – Evelyn E. MacDonald, 89 formerly of 227 Loomis Street, Little Falls and since 2010 a resident of the Masonic Care Community, Utica passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at that residence.
She was born on September 22,1928 in the Town of Sharon, NY the daughter of the late Charles R and Marguerite (Garrison) Pueschel. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1946,
On July 22, 1960 she was united in marriage to her husband of 32 years James L. MacDonald at the Universalist Church Parsonage, Little Falls. Mr. MacDonald predeceased her on January 30, 1992.
Mrs. MacDonald was employed in the Finishing Dept. of the Mohawk Valley Paper Corp., Little Falls until that department was closed after 32 years of service. She was last employed in the Tea Department of Salada Foods Corp, Little Falls until her retirement in 1992.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie A. Corbett, Little Falls, her grandchildren, Daniel J. Corbett, II and Megan A. Corbett, both of Little Falls, her brother, Charlie R. Pueschel, Little Falls, her sisters, Agnes Pueschel, Ilion, Ella Lassell (William), Canajoharie and Maryellen Surace (Samuel), Herkimer and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Heather A. Thomas, her grandsons, Robert E. II, James M. and Christopher A. Thomas on December 24, 1989 and by her sisters, Patricia Barnes, Virginia Loren, Alice Rotunda, Marjorie Hazzard, Allie Bevington and Helena Drab and by her sister in law Carol Pueschel.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY with Pastor Timothy Burns, Marcy officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills in the spring.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, February 22, 2018 from 10-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. MacDonald be considered to the Alzheimer’s Association of CNY, 441 W. Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
