Mrs. Ann T. Abbruzzese, 83, of Town of Warren, NY passed away on July 1, 2021 at the Little Falls Hospital, a place that she loved, surrounded by her loving family, following a brief illness. She was born in Plainfield, NJ on April 21, 1938, the daughter of the late Joseph D. Story and the late Mary Maher Story. Ann was a graduate of Mount St. Mary's Academy of North Plainfield, NJ, class of 1956. She then continued her education by becoming a registered nurse upon graduating St. Francis School of Nursing in Trenton, NJ 1959. Mrs. Abbruzzese's nursing career as an RN spanned from 1959 to 2003. She had worked at the Little Falls Hospital from 1975 until her retirement in 2003. On March 19, 1966 she married Julio J. Abbruzzese, in North Plainfield, NJ, together they celebrated 50 years of marriage. He predeceased her on November 28, 2016. From 1968 until 1975 they had lived in Winfield, Il, until they had relocated to their current home in the Town of Warren. Ann was a communicate of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, in Richfield Springs. She enjoyed reading, Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, Planet Earth, was a benefactor to the Pediatric Retinal Research Foundation, the World Wildlife Foundation, and the ASPCA, was a true animal and nature lover, but most of all was always dedicated to her family. Her brother Thomas Story and his wife Dorothy predeceased her. She is survived by her sons, Joseph Abbruzzese and partner James Hallquist, Michael D. Abbruzzese and Sandra Foti, J. Christopher and his wife Jennifer Abbruzzese; daughter Michelle and her husband Ken Coyne; Two granddaughters Marissa and Julianna Abbruzzese; a grandson Ryan Coyne; as well as several nieces, nephews, especially nephews Stevie and Adam and niece Kim, cousins, and her beloved pets Brody and Socks. On Wednesday July 7, 2021 at 11:00 am a memorial mass will be celebrated at Our Holy Family Parish, 763 E. Main Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. The family will receive friends and relatives prior to the mass from 9:00am until 10:30am at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY, 13365. A repast at 12:30 pm will be held at Gems Along the Mohawk in Herkimer, NY.
