Obituary

Dolgeville- Flossie E. Cool, 90 of 4 Lamberson Street, Dolgeville passed away on Monday, November 19, 2007 at the Van Allen Nursing Home in Little Falls. She was born on September 4, 1917 in Salisbury Center the daughter of the late Leon and Bessie (Tansley) Moore. She was educated in the Salisbury Rural Schools. She was united in marriage to her husband Wendell H. Cool (Shorty) on December 25, 1935 in Salisbury Center. Mr. Cool predeceased her on July 1, 1995. Mrs. Cool was also predeceased by her companion of 45 years Harold Montana. She was a member of the Salisbury United Methodist Church and the Salisbury United Methodist Womens Group. As well as a member of the Auskerade Chapter #204, OES, Dolgeville, the Oppenheim, Dolgeville, Stratford Senior Citizens Groups, the St. Johnsville Birthday Group, the Salisbury and Spruce Lake Fish and Game Club, and past member of the Salisbury Ridge Runners. Flossie was employed at one time by Daniel Green Company, Eastern Footwear, Melrose Mills, Allegro Shoe Corp. where she was a Floor Lady for over 20 years and for the Dolgeville Central School in the Cafeteria and maintenance departments. She is survived by a son Gregory Cool and wife Linda, Minot, ND, 4 daughters, Barbara Smith, St. Johnsville, Betty Leonard, Spruce Lake, Wendy Tallman, Little Falls, Daisy Sterusky, Spruce Lake, a brother Leon Moore, Rome, NY, 3 sisters, Maggie Denapole, Newport, Bessie Davis, Dolgeville, Patricia Hill and husband Gerald, Salisbury, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 5 brothers, Jessie, Hiram, Harold, Gordon and Arnold Moore and 2 sisters, Daisy Randall and Edna Singer. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 12:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Joseph Albrecht of the Salisbury United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Salisbury Rural Cemetery, town of Salisbury. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday, November 23, 2007 from 10-12pm and to attend the funeral services to follow. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Flossie be considered to the Salisbury United Methodist Church or to the Inghams Mills Baptist Church. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
