MOHAWK - Donald E. Rose, 92 of Binney Lane, Mohawk passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at Valley Health Services, Herkimer where he had been a resident since September of 2013. He was born in Nelliston, NY the son of the late Howard E. and Ruth (Oyler) Rose and he received his education in Little Falls schools. A veteran of World War II serving with the US Army. He entered the service on February 23, 1943 in Utica. He was stationed with the 529th Quartermaster Repair Co. and was honorably discharged as a Corporal on January 4, 1946 at Ft. Dix, NJ. Mr. Rose was employed for many years in the production department for the Beech-Nut Foods Corp., Canajoharie. He is survived by his son; Jeffrey Rose, Mohawk, his daughter; Shirlene Jones, Tampa, FL, his grandchildren; Colin Morgan Jones, Courtney Ellse Jones, Rhett Sumner Jones, Uriah Whitney Jones and Chantal Ariel Jones, his great grandchildren; Amara Sophia Pino, Alexai Marie Mayo, Ethan Alexander Mayo, Logan Darby Jones and Greyson Luke Jones and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours.
