Douglas R. Holdridge, 61, of Scott Street, Utica, NY, passed away May 22, 2026, at the Wynn Hospital, Utica, NY, following a brief battle with cancer.

He was born on August 26, 1964, in Little Falls, NY, the son of the late  Daniel E. Holdridge and Beverly J. VanCourt Holdridge.

In 1983, he graduated from Oppenheim High School, then went on to beautician school, where he became licensed in that trade.

Most recently, he worked as a hairstylist at Hair Solutions in Yorkville, NY, and previously at Trend Setters. He had also owned and operated a bar known as "Options".

For the past 40 years, he has lived in the Utica area.  Before that, he resided in Inghams Mills.

Besides his father, he was predeceased by his niece, Victoria Hoffman.

Anyone who knew Doug knew he was kind, generous, and had a wonderful sense of humor, and was also a world-class decorator, with his home always being immaculate and looking perfect.

Survivors include his mother, Beverly J. Holdridge; his brothers, Daniel Holdridge, Jr., Duane R. Holdridge, and Dean E. Holdridge, Sr., 1 Niece Deanna M. Holdridge, 2 nephews Dean E. Holdridge, Jr., and  Larry W. Holdridge; as well as cousins and many friends.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 6th, 2026, at 11:00 am at Rural Park Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest.
