Mrs. Florence N. Grose, 98, formerly of VanBuren Street, Dolgeville, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at Valley Health Services.

She was born on October 2, 1927, the daughter of the late Henry Dedicke and Jenny Blair Dedicke.

She was educated at Middleville Schools and was a mother and homemaker.

She lived in the local area most of her life, attended the Dolgeville Methodist Church, enjoyed feeding and watching birds, and caring for her flowers in her yard.

On July 3, 1948, at the First Baptist Church in Little Falls, NY, she married James F. Grose. He predeceased her in death on April 12, 2006.

She was also predeceased by her daughter, Nina Kuchma.

Survivors include her sons: Robert J. and Jane Grose, James F. Grose, Stanley and Rebecca Grose, David and Deborah Grose, and Daniel and Margret Grose; daughters: Deborah and Rodney Seeley and Nancy Grose; son-in-law Henry Kuchman; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Burial will take place privately at a later date at the Dolgeville Cemetery.
