Mrs. Helen Martel, 64, most recently of Park Ave., Herkimer, NY, passed away at Bassett Healthcare, Cooperstown, NY following a short battle with cancer.

Helen was born on November 4, 1960, in Poughkeepsie, NY the daughter of Donald Horne and Alice Zelno Horne.

She was educated at Valaite Schools.

Most recently she worked at Bassett in Cooperstown as a housekeeper.

For the past five years, she has lived in Herkimer, NY previously residing in Fort Plain and Canajoharie, NY.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and going on trips. she also enjoyed Crocheting and loved Mickey Mouse.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother Robert Horne, and her sister Donna Titamore.

Survivors include her children; Morgan Horne (Ronald), Deseree Spence (Rick), and Donald Martel (Amber); sister Patricia Wilson; 8 grandchildren Mercedes, Charlie Rose, Hattie, Christopher, William, Andrew, Kegan, and Michael; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365.
