IRONDEQUOIT - Helen F. Rice, 105 of Irondequoit, NY passed away Thursday. February 9, 2017. Helen was born on May 2, 1911 in the Town of Oppenheim, NY. She was a teacher, school librarian and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction for West Irondequoit Schools until her retirement in 1973. She was an avid birder and enjoyed traveling, gardening, literature, church work and was active in numerous organizations. She is survived by 1 nephew, 3 nieces, 12 great nieces and nephews, and 10 great great-nieces and nephews in the Floyd/Svenson family (WNY/Rochester), Zoller/Mattler family (TX/IN), Robert Wilbur family (MS), Douglas Noble family (NC). A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 25 at 2PM at the Irondequoit United Church of Christ, 644 Titus Ave., Rochester.
