Obituary

Mr. Howard E. Mosher, Sr., 88, of State Highway 5s, Fort Plain, New York died Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at his home. Born on May 28, 1932 in Oppenheim, NY, he was the son of George E. Mosher and Maude E. Herringshaw Mosher. He attended Fairfield Schools and was a lifetime local area resident. He was the Owner and Operator of Pleasant View Farm in the Town of Minden and had been a dairy farmer for 60 years. He was a Boiler Room Attendant for Burrell's Paper Mill for 11 years. Mr. Mosher enjoyed snowmobiling in his younger days. He loved working on his farm and being with his family, especially his grandchildren. On January 22, 1954 in St. Johnsville, NY, Howard was married to Katherine E. Failing. She preceded him in death on August 15, 2019. His brothers, Burton Mosher, Frank Mosher, Alfred Mosher, Robert Mosher, Earl Mosher, Harvey Mosher; sisters, Alta Looman, Bertha Grainer, Helen Herringshaw, Grace Smith, Freda Miller, Reba Herringshaw, Mabel Edick, and baby Gladys Mosher. Mr. Mosher is survived by his sons, Berry Wayne Mosher, William and Mary Mosher, Fred J. Mosher, Howard Mosher, Jr. and fiance, Sheila Rockefeller; daughters, Robin and Richard Dineen, Mariann Kayser and John McPhillips; siblings, Armetta (Betty) Dillenbeck, Alberta Voght; very special nephew, William Grainer; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 3rd, at 10:00am at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, May 2nd from 1:00-4:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Rural Park (Inghams Mills) Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mr. Howard E. Mosher, Sr. may be made to a charity of one's choice.
