Karen Rice formerly of Indian Castle, Passed away at Mount Sinai in Manhattan Jan. 21,2023 after a long illness. She was predeceased by her parents George and Ida "Tinkler" Rice of Indian Castle, her brothers Charles and Patricia Rice of Rt. 167 Little Falls, Stanley and Anahid Rice of Snells bush Rd. Little Falls, Gerald and Jean Rice of Indian Castle, and a sister Katherine and her husband Albert Schultz of Pompey. Her sister in-law Gertrude Rice of Fordbush, and Nephews, Tim and Allan Rice, David, and Bill Schultz. She is survived by her brother Carlton "Bud" Rice of Fordsbush, and a multitude of Nieces and Nephews and their children all of whom she adored. She was a lover of history, a passionate patron of the arts, especially Opera. Karen was an avid N.Y. Mets fan her entire life. As per her wishes, Karen's ashes will be buried with her Mother on the family plot in Inghams Mills Cemetery, Sat. July 15 at 10:00 AM. The family will be receiving all who wish to celebrate and remember this remarkable woman at the family homestead, 2894 State Rt. 5s following her internment and through out the afternoon
