SALISBURY - Margaret A. Jones, 74 of Military Road, Town of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at her residence. She was born on September 29, 1931 in Milton, NY the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Feneck) Russo. She was a graduate of Milton High School as well as a graduate of Ithaca College. She was united in marriage to Frederick J. Jones on August 16, 1986 in Marlboro, NY. Mrs. Jones in her youth was a professional baseball player. A member of the All American Girl Professional Baseball League and was an inducted member of the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Following her baseball career she was employed as a Physical Education Teacher for the Marlboro Central School District. She is survived by her husband Fred, a brother Vincent Russo and his wife Irene, Florida and a sister Fortune Patterson, Poughkeepsie. She was predeceased by a brother Anthony Russo and a sister Josephine Russo. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
