Mildred "Betty" Wurzbacher 1928 - 2024

LITTLE FALLS - Mildred "Betty" Wurzbacher, 96, of Summit Ave., Little Falls, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Little Falls Hospital surrounded by her family. Betty was born on April 6, 1928, in Little Falls, to the late Phillip and Marie Gerhardt. On January 6, 1951, she married Karl H. Wurzbacher Jr. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Little Falls, and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage until his passing in 2017. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School class of 1946.

She is survived by her daughter, Joan Krutz (David), of Little Falls; her sons, John K. Wurzbacher of Webster, NY, and Alan K. Wurzbacher of Ormond Beach, FL; her grandchildren, Jeffrey K. Krutz (Emily), Daniel E. Krutz (Jayme), John R. Wurzbacher (Jennifer), and Andrew M. Krutz (Stefni); and seven great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Jordyn, Noah, Jack, Aurora, Vienna, and Henry.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Marion Vedder, Louise Fox, Bill and Fred Gerhardt, and daughter–in-law Linda Wurzbacher.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Salisbury Rural Cemetery, Town of Salisbury. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY. There are no calling hours. The family would like to extend its sincere appreciation to Little Falls Hospital, especially the dialysis unit, for the excellent care and compassion shown to Betty.
