Obituary

Patrick D. Reardon (Toot), aged 59, passed away at home on Saturday, June 28, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  A lifelong resident of Little Falls, he currently resided at Peck Lake, Gloversville, NY, fulfilling a life-long dream of owning a place on a lake in the Adirondacks.

Patrick was born on November 19, 1965, in Little Falls, NY, the son of the late Patrick A. and Jean E. (Roach) Reardon.  He attended Little Falls schools and graduated with the Class of 1983.  He was a graduate of Empire State College.

He was united in marriage to Lisa A. Fansler on September 25, 1993.  He was the proud father of Shelby L. (Jason) Campione, Sara E. Reardon (Kaitlyn Cameron), and Patrick E. Reardon.

Patrick started his career with the NYS Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (NYSDOCCS) as a Correctional Officer and worked his way up, holding a multitude of different positions across the State of New York.  He retired after 35 years as the Supervising Superintendent of the Great Meadow Hub.  He earned the respect and friendship of so many people along the way, especially those friends at the Main Office in Albany, Marcy Correctional Facility, Elmira Correctional Facility, and Hale Creek Correctional Facility.  He was a 34-year member of the Little Falls Elks club, serving as Exalted Ruler in 2002 and was elected Elk of the Year in 2012.  He also served as Commissioner on the Little Falls Police and Fire Board for many years.

Patrick was known as "Toot" to his family and friends.  Toot liked nothing more than watching his kids participate in sports through the years.  He was an avid snowmobiler and a member of multiple snowmobile clubs.  When there wasn't snow, he enjoyed kayaking, boating, camping and hiking in the Adirondacks.  He was a NASCAR fan and loved listening to music and attending concerts (especially Pink Floyd) with his family and friends.  The role of father and grandfather were his favorites and he was endlessly entertained by his 2 grandsons.  In true Irish fashion, Toot loved to talk, laugh and have a few beers.  If you knew Toot, you knew he especially loved when someone bought him a beer because he usually had "rabbit ears".

Besides his loving wife and children, he is survived by his 2 grandsons, Jase P. and Jameson P. Campione, who always made him smile.  He is also survived by his 3 sisters, Maureen Petkovsek, Sheila Reardon-Gilman (Jeff), and Abby Kosty; his mother-in-law, Jo Klock; sisters-in-law, Mary Reardon, Jodi (David) Hallenbeck, Linda Klock and brother-in-law, Timothy (Dawn) Klock; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and amazing friends.  He was pre-deceased by his parents, Pat and Jean; father-in-law, Ray Klock and his brothers, Daniel, Donald and Shawn Reardon.
