DOLGEVILLE Renita O. Martin, 71 of 565 Hopson Road, Dolgeville (Town of Salisbury) passed away Monday, May 18, 2009 at her residence. She was born on February 18, 1938 in the Town of Salisbury the daughter of the late Herman W. and Hilda (Kiesel) Voorhees. She was a graduate of Dolgeville High School class of 1956. She was united in marriage to her husband of 39 years James F. Martin on June 29, 1957 at the Zion Lutheran Church, Dolgeville. Mr. Martin predeceased her on August 8, 1996. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Little Falls Lady Elks and the Dolgeville Lioness Club. She also enjoyed volunteering her time making blankets to donate to various hospitals. She was employed for 50 years in the Shipping and Receiving Dept. of the Gehring Tricot Corp., Dolgeville retiring in 2008. Mrs. Martin is survived by her son Michael Martin, Wisconsin, her daughter Natalie Martin, Salisbury, 2 grandchildren Daven Martin, Ilion and Michael Keeler, Indiana and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son William D. Martin on October 19, 1993, her grandson James Wilkenson IV in March of 1984 and by her brother Frederick W. Voorhees on February 25, 2009. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at the Dolgeville Cemetery, Dolgeville on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours.
