Mrs. Shirley M. Baker, 84, of Skinner Street, Little Falls, NY and since December of 2007 a resident of Valley Health Services, Herkimer passed away Saturday, February, 25 th , 2023. at Little Falls Hospital.

She was born on November 16, 1938, in Morris, NY the daughter of the late Morgan and Bertha Chadwick Place and was a graduate of Remsen High School.

On November 14, 1970, she was united in marriage to her husband of 52 years Robert C. Barker at the United Methodist Church, Herkimer.

She was employed at onetime in the Payroll Dept. of the General Electric Co., Utica and later in that same capacity for the former Tri State Laundry, Utica. She retired from the Little Falls Central School as a monitor.

Survivors include her husband Robert C. Barker; son Scott Franklyn Barker, daughter Tina Marie Frederick, all of Little Falls, a brother; Arthur L. (Joanne) Place, Utica and grandsons, Collin Barker, Zachary Sander and Devan Sander and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her brothers Marian and William Place and by her sister Sally Miner.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
